God is at work and you can be a part of serving and working beside parents as they grow and work to keep their families together and strong. Being a friend is a parent advocates main responsibility and greatest joy.
What are the requirements of a parent advocate?
A Willing Heart to serve and love others.
Faith that God can and will heal and restore lives.
Openness to be uncomfortable and stretched by the Lord.
Dependence on the Holy Spirit.
Willingness to love others made in God's image.
Desire to introduce others to Jesus.
What is the commitment of a parent advocate?
Attend a 3 hour training (Sunday afternoon).
Be paired with a parent.
Connect with the parent through the class.
Attend 2 classes plus graduation.
